With the end of 2023 approaching, it is time to reflect on the achievements made and prepare for the new year ahead.

Nathalia Medina, founder of The Key Item, shares a four-step guide to help you plan and set clear goals that will put you on the path to meeting your goals in 2024.

1. Analyze your 2023:

  • Reflect on what went well during the year. Write down projects, goals and fulfilled promises. Learn from these positive experiences.

  • Identify what didn't go so well. Write down projects, goals, and unfulfilled promises, and reflect on the lessons learned.

  • Be honest with yourself and analyze various areas of your life, such as work, family, relationships, personal growth, finances, spirituality, among others.

2. Visualize yourself at the end of the year:

  • Imagine how you want to feel and who you want to become at the end of 2024.

  • Close your eyes, visualize December 31, 2024, and think about who you want to be by that date.

3. Trust yourself:

  • Cultivate self-confidence through small actions. Think about the characteristics that you consider in a trustworthy person and apply them to yourself.

  • Choose a small promise that requires minimal effort, such as drinking a glass of water when you wake up for 20 days.

  • This exercise develops self-confidence and self-discipline, essential to achieving significant goals.

4. Be grateful for the future:

  • Write down your goals giving thanks for what you want to happen in the future. Be grateful as if it had already happened.

  • For example, "Thank God/Universe for the opportunity to visit Colombia and Peru." Do it with all the things you want to achieve.

  • This powerful exercise places you in an emotional state of trust and faith, preparing you to face the new year with optimism.
